Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to join our team and lead the operational aspects of our association.
The Operations Manager will be instrumental in driving the association’s effectiveness, overseeing program implementation, and fostering strategic partnerships to further our mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. In collaboration with Executive Director, design and Implement operational plan to optimize organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  2. Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of Oromia Physicians Association and prepare reports accordingly.
  3. Lead and mentor a diverse team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.
  4. Collaborate with program leads to coordinate project implementation, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
  5. Cultivate and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, donors, and community organizations.
  6. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as association’s policies and procedures.
  7. Evaluate program performance and impact, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.
  8. Represent OPA in meetings, conferences, and networking events to promote our mission and initiatives.
  9. Perform duties assigned by supervisors.
    Requirements:
  10. Must hold a medical degree, additional Master’s degree preferred.
  11. Demonstrate comprehension of the OPA’s mission and vision.
  12. Previous experience working within the framework of OPA’s missions, especially in community outreach programs.
  13. Excellent communication skills with proficiency in Afan Oromo, English, and Amharic languages.
  14. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical or leadership role, preferably in Oromia Health facilities, healthcare sector or NGOs.
  15. Demonstrates strategic planning, organizational development, team leadership, excellent communication, interpersonal skills, creative thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability in diverse stakeholder collaborations.
  16. Must be able to travel as required.
