Dr. Abashamo Lencho was born in the small town of Bokore, situated in the West Arsi Zone of Oromia, Ethiopia. He grew up under the care and guidance of his parents, Lencho Wako and Ayano Isako. His early education began at Kuyara Elementary School in his hometown. For his middle and high school education, he attended Dodola Middle School and Dodola High School, respectively. He completed his secondary education at Kuyera Adventist College.
